This residence in Black Mountain Ranch was transformed into a functional and stylish outdoor retreat with a California coastal design. A raised composite deck now features a spa and lounge area, providing the perfect retreat for both daytime enjoyment and evening relaxation. An open trellis-style pergola with privacy panels provides shade while seamlessly blending with the existing landscape features. Synthetic turf creates a dedicated play area, while decomposed granite pathways enhance usability in secondary spaces mainly in the side yards. Waterwise Mediterranean-style planting softens the landscape, with perimeter screening and colorful potted plants adding vibrancy. Raised redwood planter beds offer a productive garden space, and new landscape lighting enhances the patio’s ambiance in the evening. Thoughtful integration of new elements ensures a cohesive design that enhances, rather than overpowering the existing landscape, creating a harmonious and inviting outdoor space.
Raised deck to accommodate a prefab spa and lounge area. We used composite decking material to build a raised deck and spa surround. This decking (TimberTech Azek Vintage Collection) was chosen for its durability, uniform look, and overall less maintenance.
Open-trellis style patio structure to provide shade with privacy panels attached on two sides. Outdeco panels framed in wood to screen spa area was used due to its aesthetically pleasing designs while at the same time providing privacy.
