Danielle and her crew from Botanically Crafted Landscapes finished a major project in our backyard a week ago, and we can't believe how lucky we are to have such a beautiful and functional space! Sadly, we had to have two big old trees removed because of their proximity to the house and the damage being done by the roots. Our landscape architect, Andrea Doonan, worked with us on a plan to grade the yard and make it much more usable, with a large level area of pavers softened by two large planting beds filled with plants and shrubs that attract pollinators. We chose Botanically Crafted to make that plan a reality, and our yard has been transformed. Danielle was our first choice from the minute we met her- she is an excellent communicator and is very easy to work with, and her follow-up is exceptional. In addition, her enthusiasm for our project was almost as great as ours! Her team is excellent, with wide ranging skills that included leveling and grading the ground, cutting perfectly shaped pavers, careful planting, and installation of irrigation and lighting. The carpentry work on our new fences and gates was exceptional as well. We had our backyard completely redone by Botanically Crafted Landscapes in San Diego. The business owner, Danielle, did the design, and then managed the entire project, which took about 7 weeks. We are overjoyed with the result; it is really gorgeous. The project had some challenges, and without getting into the details, the key thing is that Danielle is SO creative and knowledgable, that these challenges ended up being non-issues. What I was most impressed by was how hands-on Danielle was for the entire project. She was here every day managing the work, and directing her staff. She was EXTREMELY detail oriented. This gave us great confidence that we could just sit back and let her do the job right. Danielle also has enormous experience with plants, and talked us through many options in detail. Danielle is also a delightful person to work with. Danielle's staff also deserve praise. Her project manager, Jesus, did a super job. Very easy to work with. Her carpenter, Jamie, did beautiful work. He built a beautiful pergola, planting box, and enclosure for our pool mechanicals. Very stunning. The laborers were wonderful, very neat and careful. Nice guys. Our front, back and side yards were basically a big dirt patch with soooo many weeds and overgrown bushes. Danielle took the time to listen carefully and understand our style, needs, and goals for our yard. She took the few ideas I had and incorporated them into a beautiful plan that included a new walkway, new concrete, DG, lovely colors of stone/pebble, and so many beautiful plants! She also took care of drainage and watering so it truly is low maintenance for us. Her communication, guidance and attention to detail has helped keep our project stay on track. We engaged Botanically Crafted Landscapes for the construction on a large project, and could not have been happier with the process, or more pleased with the results. We redesigned our front, back, and side yards in their entirety: demo (with lots of heavy digging and grading), new hardscape (flagstone and mortared path, a large poured-in-place concrete wall with wooden fencing, and a stone seat wall), the creation of a new food garden (fruit trees and raised vegetable beds), lots of new planting (trees, shrubs, plants, and grasses), new irrigation, and new lighting. There was no task, large or small, that Danielle and her fantastic crew didn’t handle with great care, and there was outstanding communication from beginning to end. We got great advice and guidance when we needed it, with our goals for how we (and our dog) want to use the spaces always kept at the forefront. I am editing to add that I could unfortunately not figure out how to post a second review, and accidentally deleted my first. Last year (2023) Danielle and her crew did an amazing job paving our patio by our pool. We were so happy with her work that we hired her and her crew to design and build our front courtyard. We went from a fully rock and weed front yard to a beautiful courtyard retreat. I had some ideas to start and Danielle was able to make sure they would not only work, but also fit in with the existing house style and neighborhood. She created a fantastic design plan, we made a few changes, and then we signed the contract for the work to begin. She is the ideal project manager - communicative and on top of all the details - and her team was fantastic as well. Everyone was on time, worked extremely hard, and their work was impeccable.
